NOTE
So I think I'm gonna start writing and publishing weekly journals, just to practice my writing skills and keep track of my life. If I don't publish every week It's either because I'm busy or I'm lazy. So without further adieu let's get started! :3
JOURNAL ENTRY
Good morning Edu's community! It is currently 11:00am and it's quite sunny outside, I am writing this in my studio/bedroom on my gaming PC. The previous week my friend Trinity inspired me to start posting more frequently on social media as she is currently running a youtube channel about her own life with vlogs and gaming stuff. I've chosen to primarily focus my efforts on bluesky and other ATproto apps as I am a huge fan of the open web movement that has kinda sprung back into the popular eye as of bluesky's and the ATprotocal's release. So with the introduction out of the way, let's get into what I've been doing this past week!
First thing I've been doing to not only ramp up my productivity but also improve my mental wellness is to watch my weight and overall health. I've found that just drinking enough water has put more energy into my body, so I've made a commitment to have a full bottle of water at my desk, I've also put some lemon and cucumbers in there just to improve my weight loss. Another thing I've been doing is getting enough exercise in the day, So I've been hitting the treadmill in my home gym to get some cardio. I'm not exactly sure how fast I'm going but it's on level four and I do that for 25-30 minutes.
I also went on a relaxing yet exhausting nature hike with my mother this past week. Although It was very humid and hot that day, the trees provided enough cool shade for us, thanks trees! There was also a lake right beside the trail which also added to the cool breeze on another wise hot day. We also spotted a lot of wildlife on the trail, most of them were daddy long leg spiders, they used to creep me out as a kid but not so much as an adult. We also spotted a pretty cute robin that almost let us come up to it before flying away. People have also built some pretty cool rope swing sets near the lake as it's a very popular swimming spot. We saw one woman jump into the lake and lose her hat while swinging on one. All in all it was a pretty nice hike and I got to talk to my mom a lot while sharing some delicious home made trial mix.
Here's a picture we took of the lake!
Speaking of trees, this past week I attended a stewardship event at my local community centre, I volunteer with the organisation that hosts events like these all the time, they call themselves LEAF. This particular event I was a group leader for some office workers who were on a team building trip. That day we were removing invasive plant species from the area around the community centre, we also were mulching some young trees other volunteers have planted previously. It was a lot of hard work but me and my team had gotten it done in just a few hours. It's a lot of fun volunteering as I'm not only doing some good in the world but also networking a lot too. Making friends is something I've been struggling with my whole life but recently I've found that It's a lot easier than I thought it was!
In conclusion, I had a pretty good week! I can't wait to share more of my life with all of you wonderful people! that's it for now, Cheers and have a wonderful rest of your day/night!
